If you are reading this, chances are you watched at least one episode of the American 80′s treasure “Small Wonder”, a low budget syndicated sitcom based around the Lawsons and the odd little robot girl, V.I.C.I. who lives with the family and is treated like an actual child. Only in the 80′s folks, only in the 80′s. The show has just been released on DVD (out on February 16th) and culture vulture Rich from FourFour took one for the team and watched all NINE hours of the program!!! And after all of that he figured out the most important thing you might have missed on a show about a robot girl when you were watching it at age 8 – the show is sooo gay. To prove this amazing theory, Rich compiled a must see video, even for the folks who have no idea what I am talking about.

So sit back and enjoy the genius that was ‘Small Wonder’.

While I love Kathy Griffin and her shtick, there is something so bizarre about this. I get that Levi Johnston can not shy away from the media and seems to be searching for fame and fortune on the back of his out of wedlock child, but its painful to watch this when you cant be sure if he’s actually in on the joke or a manager thought this would be a great idea. The two arrived at the Teen Choice Awards this weekend and have attracted a great of attention ever since. Not sure how I would feel about this if the roles were reversed. I think Griffin is just in search for her latest media frenzied scandal, but since this isn’t a John Waters movie, not sure this is going to really register.

The following story is one of a personal nature to me and does not involve any funny celebrity quotes nor casting news. A few years back in my neighborhood, a woman was raped on a subway platform. While waiting for a G train, which are notoriously late and slow especially late night, the woman was raped and her screams for help were ignored by not one, but two MTA workers who could actually see the event taking place. One was a toll booth operator and another was a platform worker. The only action to protect that woman taken that night was an internal MTA alarm being sound to alert the cops, who took nearly 15 minutes to respond to the incident only FIVE BLOCKS away from the precinct. The woman’s attacker was able to get away and is still on the loose.

To this day, this subway station is not actively patrolled by cops, nor MTA workers and remains one of the unsafest in the whole system. In fact, a few friends were heading back to their Brooklyn apartments on the G around 2AM about a month after the incident and were actually yelled at by the MTA clerk in the booth to “get out of here before you all get raped”. My complaints with the MTA and my local representatives seem to not have made a difference, so maybe if some of you hear this woman’s ordeal, imagine being attacked and knowing people are there listening to your screams and doing NOTHING TO HELP, and start telling others, justice will be served. The victim is currently trying to sue the MTA for not doing their jobs that night and a judge informed her and her attorney that there is no case here. So I guess “See something, Say something”, only goes for people NOT ON THE MTA payroll. This makes me sick. Let’s make sure that some justice is served here.

So you might have heard that earlier this week Woody Harrelson, actor famous for running around naked and playing dumb dumb parts in movies, alledgedly attached a paparazzi photographer at Laguardia Airport here in NYC. Well according to Harrelson, the reason he attacked the photographer was because he thought he was a ZOMBIE! I mean, who hasn’t had one of those days where they are just aimlessly walking around a mall, airport or grocery store and is convinced the people in front of them is a zombie.

Woody went on to say that since returning from filming his upcoming flick “Zombieland”, which is obviously about zombies taking over the US, that he was still deep in character and confused the photog with a zombie. Now Harrelson isn’t exactly known for his intellect and in recent years, the actor has seemed to really go off the deep end, so this ridiculous story isn’t quite shocking. The actor was in another scuffle with a TMZ photog back in 2006, which lead to a civil suit against Harrelson. I for one hope that this becomes the new popular defense for starlets and actors alike, because we can all agree that there has to be zombies out there, right?

For years, I have heard ramblings from my coworkers about how good/crazy/funny/compelling “One Tree Hill” is. And since I am a TV addict, I did make the attempt a few years ago to check out what all the hubbub was about. Well what I saw was the most disjointed night time soap for teens ever. Within the two episodes I saw, TWO people were hit by cars, on person found out she was pregnant, another lost her baby and there was a whole lot of adultery and non-appropriate behavior all around. I couldn’t even bare to watch another episode. It was too out there, even for me.

So I loved that last week’s Clip of the Week for “The Soup” was from One Tree Hill. This show has surprisingly been able to get even more outrageous than the last time I caught it. Please watch the beyond ridiculous Emergency Room tribulations that go on.

He’s back to his old tricks. Yes, Joaquin Phoenix “lost his mind” once again and decided that it would be appropriate to attack an audience member who was heckling him. Phoenix performed, and I use the term loosely, last night at the Fountainebleau Miami Beach hotel and was greeted by various heckles from the unimpressed crowd. He didn’t take to kindly to this sort of treatment and jumped into the crowd. Security guards quickly stepped in and dragged Phoenix back to the stage and apparently no actual blows were exchanged, but luckily Casey Affleck was there to catch it all on tape for that “documentary” the two have been working on. Here he is losing his cool.

If you want to be taken serious as a rapper Joaquin and not get heckled by your audience, maybe you might think of getting better at it? This is just par for the course as a live musical act for your audience to let you know when that they aren’t into you. Ask one the millions of bands who have opened for bigger acts and been asked to get off the stage. This is the not so fun part of performing your “craft” in front of a live audience. So either two things are going on here. Phoenix is either legitimately crazy and or he thinks he is actually on his way to becoming a talented rapper or two, he is milking this “artsy fartsy” crap for all its worth. And if it’s the second option, I am done with this story. Take it from someone who went to art school for four years, these tricks are old. I am over pretentious artists attempting to mock the system while basking in the glow of it. This is just bad art and the shtick is getting old. I have seen a lot of bad art in my time, including a shit in ziplock bag installation in a kitchen, and this is getting closer to the literal crap exhibition everyday. You aren’t clever, nor a great rapper, so this mockumentary better wrap up soon.

Oh my god! Let me preface this by saying I have never watched a season of “The Bachelor”. This was something I once wore like a badge of honor and was proud that ABC was unable to get their claws into me and have become addicted to watching 25 girls I would have hated in college attempt to mack it to some douche bro, who I would have also hated, and watch them try “to find love”. I prefer my reality dating shows with washed up rockers and skanks, but that’s just me. But after a lot of hullabaloo about this season, I decided I needed to check out the final episode. And it was a doozey!

First let’s start at the beginning of this reality hot mess. This dude Jason got dumped on last season’s “Bachelorette” and he ended up trying to find some chick he could be happy with and make a step mom, so naturally he decided to do this on national TV. Anyways, back when the show premiered they aired these lengthy trailers and promotions andsome poor schmuck had the unfortunate ability to discover, in the given three minutes he had caught of this melodrama, who would be picked by Jason. And he was actually right and beyond embarrassed for himself. So even if you weren’t a web sleuth, you would have found out the week this show premiered that Melissa, a 25 year old from Texas, was the chosen one at the end of this melodramatic mess. But this probably caused a major issue with the producers or who knows maybe they did it on purpose. Since this crap wraps up it’s filming about 3 months before the first episode hits the airwaves, ABC and the show’s producers must have understood what a snooze fest of a season they had on their hands and had to “fix that”. Well that is at least the rumor that was floating around, courtesy of Reality Steve. Steve, whose site is BLOWING UP right now, put two and two together and with some inside info said the producers wanted the more obvious couple, Jason and Molly, a 24 year old retail buyer, to not be the final couple only to get back together at the “After the Rose” show. So basically Jason would propose to Melissa and then break it off with her, to then ask Molly to be with him once everything had aired. And to make it even more dramatic, there are rumors that Melissa was made aware that this was all going to happen, but was still forced to endure the public humiliation. According to Jason, who spoke with PEOPLE, he wanted to break things off with Melissa and pursue a relationship with Molly off camera, but the producers said that according to his contract all communication regarding the relationship must take place on camera. Melissa was pissed when confronted and was obviously aware of what was about to go down. I thought she had every right to be pissed, especially since everyone knew what was about to go down. When she left, she explained that she wished that he had just dumped her from the get go so she wouldn’t have had to waste time with him. But when Molly came out to talk to Chris Harrison, the host of the program, she was all smiles and was very happy for a woman who thought she would be face to face with the man she was in love with and who had dumped her. This is where the show got all hokey and I think very poorly acted. Eventually, Molly and Jason decided to give it a go, but who the hell knows how long that will last since at this point there is only one actual real relationship still going from the ABC franchise. I think the tacky and in poor taste acting on the part of both Molly and Jason turned me off to this show entirely.

Anyways, if I didn’t blow your mind too much with this, check out the clip of last night’s “After the Rose, Part 1”. This stuff will drive you crazy, but lucky for me not crazy enough to tune into part 2, which is on ABC tonight.

Did any of you watch this? What did you think? Is this just the case of really bad acting or is this guy this dumb?

Nothing really is sacred in Hollywood anymore. Yesterday it was announced that Universal as part of their partnership with Hasbro will remake the classic film “Clue”.

Every gosh darn day there is something from my childhood being taken from me and remade and I am not sure if I can take this anymore. Earlier this month, we told you about Universal’s optioning of “Candy Land” into a future full length movie, which I didn’t have a problem with. In fact, I am pretty intrigued on what they will do with this. But “Clue” is perfect just the way it is. It’s a perfect 80’s caper-style comedy and it showcases the rare gem that Madeline Kahn was.

The remake will be directed and produced by Gore Verbinski, the man behind “Pirates of the Caribbean”. It will be fourth board game from Hasbro that Universal will be adapting to big screen versions. The basic plot of the movie/game is the viewers/players take on the task of figuring who done in it in a twist filled murder mystery. Word is that this version will be darker than the original, which had a sort of Mel Brooks feel to it. While the original might not have been a box office smash, it had a second life with its omnipresence on cable movie channels and now on DVD. I could see people like Parker Posey and David Cross involved in this version, a virtual who’s who of the snarky comedic scene. Unfortunately, if they decide to go with a more thriller version of the game, this might end up being some sad horror movie.

In other crazy remake news, Warner Brothers and Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company is interested in remaking the 80’s children’s classic The NeverEnding Story”. It will be a “modernization” of the classic fantasy flick and will not deviate to great from the original. No writers are attached at this time. And if that wasn’t bad enough, there are plans to remake “Robo-Cop” and one of my favorite movies of all time “Total Recall”. It won’t take much to make my brain turn to mush if they screw that one up. But I do wonder if Governor Schwarzenegger would make an appearance in the new version? That might be interesting enough not to protest it.
