“Small Wonder” was Totes Gay!

If you are reading this, chances are you watched at least one episode of the American 80′s treasure “Small Wonder”, a low budget syndicated sitcom based around the Lawsons and the odd little robot girl, V.I.C.I. who lives with the family and is treated like an actual child. Only in the 80′s folks, only in the [...]

There is Nothing Left to Say…

While I love Kathy Griffin and her shtick, there is something so bizarre about this. I get that Levi Johnston can not shy away from the media and seems to be searching for fame and fortune on the back of his out of wedlock child, but its painful to watch this when you cant be [...]

Feminism Revolt? How can NYC and the MTA allow this to happen?

The following story is one of a personal nature to me and does not involve any funny celebrity quotes nor casting news. A few years back in my neighborhood, a woman was raped on a subway platform. While waiting for a G train, which are notoriously late and slow especially late night, the woman [...]

Attack of the Zombie Photogs!!!

This could be the best celebrity story ever! Honestly, the post that follows might just blow your gossip hungry minds dear readers.

So you might have heard that earlier this week Woody Harrelson, actor famous for running around naked and playing dumb dumb parts in movies, alledgedly attached a paparazzi photographer at Laguardia Airport here in NYC. [...]

“The Soup” is always on target…

For years, I have heard ramblings from my coworkers about how good/crazy/funny/compelling “One Tree Hill” is. And since I am a TV addict, I did make the attempt a few years ago to check out what all the hubbub was about. Well what I saw was the most disjointed night time soap for teens [...]

Joaquin Phoenix Needs a New Trick…

He’s back to his old tricks. Yes, Joaquin Phoenix “lost his mind” once again and decided that it would be appropriate to attack an audience member who was heckling him. Phoenix performed, and I use the term loosely, last night at the Fountainebleau Miami Beach hotel and was greeted by various heckles from the [...]

“The Bachelor” Shows His True Colors on TV

Oh my god! Let me preface this by saying I have never watched a season of “The Bachelor”. This was something I once wore like a badge of honor and was proud that ABC was unable to get their claws into me and have become addicted to watching 25 girls I would have hated in college attempt to mack it to some douche bro, who I would have also hated, and watch them try “to find love”. I prefer my reality dating shows with washed up rockers and skanks, but that’s just me. But after a lot of hullabaloo about this season, I decided I needed to check out the final episode. And it was a doozey!

First let’s start at the beginning of this reality hot mess. This dude Jason got dumped on last season’s “Bachelorette” and he ended up trying to find some chick he could be happy with and make a step mom, so naturally he decided to do this on national TV. Anyways, back when the show premiered they aired these lengthy trailers and promotions andsome poor schmuck had the unfortunate ability to discover, in the given three minutes he had caught of this melodrama, who would be picked by Jason. And he was actually right and beyond embarrassed for himself. So even if you weren’t a web sleuth, you would have found out the week this show premiered that Melissa, a 25 year old from Texas, was the chosen one at the end of this melodramatic mess. But this probably caused a major issue with the producers or who knows maybe they did it on purpose. Since this crap wraps up it’s filming about 3 months before the first episode hits the airwaves, ABC and the show’s producers must have understood what a snooze fest of a season they had on their hands and had to “fix that”. Well that is at least the rumor that was floating around, courtesy of Reality Steve. Steve, whose site is BLOWING UP right now, put two and two together and with some inside info said the producers wanted the more obvious couple, Jason and Molly, a 24 year old retail buyer, to not be the final couple only to get back together at the “After the Rose” show. So basically Jason would propose to Melissa and then break it off with her, to then ask Molly to be with him once everything had aired. And to make it even more dramatic, there are rumors that Melissa was made aware that this was all going to happen, but was still forced to endure the public humiliation. Dear Hollywood, Stop Remaking My Favorite Things…

Nothing really is sacred in Hollywood anymore. Yesterday it was announced that Universal as part of their partnership with Hasbro will remake the classic film “Clue”.
clue-21
Every gosh darn day there is something from my childhood being taken from me and remade and I am not sure if I can take this anymore. Earlier this month, we told you about Universal’s optioning of “Candy Land” into a future full length movie, which I didn’t have a problem with. In fact, I am pretty intrigued on what they will do with this. But “Clue” is perfect just the way it is. It’s a perfect 80’s caper-style comedy and it showcases the rare gem that Madeline Kahn was.

The remake will be directed and produced by Gore Verbinski, the man behind “Pirates of the Caribbean”. It will be fourth board game from Hasbro that Universal will be adapting to big screen versions. The basic plot of the movie/game is the viewers/players take on the task of figuring who done in it in a twist filled murder mystery. Word is that this version will be darker than the original, which had a sort of Mel Brooks feel to it. While the original might not have been a box office smash, it had a second life with its omnipresence on cable movie channels and now on DVD. I could see people like Parker Posey and David Cross involved in this version, a virtual who’s who of the snarky comedic scene. Unfortunately, if they decide to go with a more thriller version of the game, this might end up being some sad horror movie.
