When Tatum was arrested last summer for attempting to purchase crack on the LES of Manhattan, I pointed blame on her father and mother for her many many deep seated issues. The abuse and neglect she has suffered is well known throughout the industry and become public knowledge after her tell all, A Paper Life, was published a few years ago. And while yes, at some point a child becomes an adult and must learn to somehow move on form the past, but how is that possible when every horrible and despicable thing your father does to you, like punching you when you win the Best Supporting Actress Oscar or hitting on you at your step-mother’s funeral, because public knowledge?

DeGeneres mentioned to Lohan that after the break up, she took some time to herself, reflected on what was going on and then came back after a few years refreshed and ready. And seriously, look at her now – in a loving relationship, extremely successful and one of the most famous women in America. Lohan also claimed that she didnt want to talk about a lot, which seems like a weird thing to do on a TALK SHOW, and babbled about a bunch of other stuff before my heart broke.

At what point will she realize she is a joke and is no longer a viable successful actress, I don’t know, but if Lindsay can not see the forest from the trees, its time to collect your stuff, stop shopping, peddling spray tans and quiet down. And this time, don’t invite OK Magazine or UsWeekly to document the experience.

Phoenix was on the David Letterman show last night to “promote” his new indie movie Two Lovers, costarring Gwyneth Paltrow and Vinessa Shaw. Phoenix was quiet, non-responsive to questions or jokes from Dave and overall just seemed like he was quite literally somewhere else. I know Letterman has a history of wacky guests and pretend drama, like when Andy Kaufman fought Jerry Fowler and Crispin Glover’s crazy visits, but this was not only uncomfortable, it was near humorless. Unless Letterman had punched up the conversation with silly questions about Phoenix’s beard and apologizing to Farrah Fawcettwho came on the Late Show in 1997 and was so out of it, it became headline news, it would have been unbearable to watch. You can almost tell that Letterman would have preferred that this dude never showed up.
