Lets start at the beginning…. This weekend I managed to find myself on the island of no channel 7, aka ABC. Yes, you heard correctly. Thanks to an horrific who-has-the-bigger-balls and wants-to-make-more-money-while-laying-off-thousands battle between Cablevision (the local network here) and ABC/Disney kept me from watching the Oscars in the comfort of my in-laws home, so I [...] Well this morning was a real snoozefest in regards to the Oscar nominations. With the field of Best Picture opening up to ten nominees this year, there was high anticipation in what would find its way into the coveting category along with shoo-ins Avatar, The Hurt Locker and Inglorious Basterds. Sadly, the opening of [...] If you are a follower of Jason Reitman on Twitter, you will know how much time he has put into completing his latest effort Up in the Air. Based loosely on the Walter Kirn novel of the same name,Up in the Air follows the life and beliefs of Ryan Bingham, played by George Clooney, [...] Oh man, so as always, yesterday’s IFC/FIlm Independent Spirit Awards were hilarious. Steve Coogan brought it as the host with his raunchy humor and the winners were actually appreciative of getting their awards. Personally, this shit always looked alot more fun to be a part of than the Oscars, since you don’t need to be [...] Ahh…its that time of year again. I can feel it in the air. Binging, purging, spray tans, tequila and the slightest hint of phoniness must mean that this weekend is the big day in Los Angeles. Yep that’s right it’s Oscar time. I felt stiffed with the Best Picture category nominees, so [...] We will cover the announcement of the 81st Oscar Nomineess tomorrow morning, at around 8:30AM. Check back here tomorrow for the nominees and my thoughts on was rewarded and who got the big ol’ stiff!!!! I can only assume that there will be more than a few suprises tomorrow morning!
