  | Now that we got through the nominations and the ‘humble’shock stories from celebrities after that follow,we will now have to deal with a month of advertising and promos showcasing Anne Hathaway and James Franco. As I said last week,we should probably expect an onslaught of these promos since the past few years [...]  Luckily,the Oscar nominations weren’t too early for us folks here on the east coast,but I do not envy anyone in LA having to be up and at ‘em by 5AM to get this scoop. I watched the nominations on E!,because that’s how I do,but it was great to see the Academy [...] Lets start at the beginning…. This weekend I managed to find myself on the island of no channel 7,aka ABC. Yes,you heard correctly. Thanks to an horrific who-has-the-bigger-balls and wants-to-make-more-money-while-laying-off-thousands battle between Cablevision (the local network here) and ABC/Disney kept me from watching the Oscars in the comfort of my in-laws home,so [...] We are just a few days away (more on that later) from The Oscars. So to prepare yourself for the tears,off-the-cuff remarks and overall blandness that will come along with one of the most predictable ceremonies in recent memory,the internet (CopyRightHater) put together a lovely look back at some previous Thank Yous.
