Efron Mania Hits SNL and The View

So I have to hand it to my new celeb crush Zac Efron for doing a bang up job as host of Saturday Night Live this weekend. From start to finish, Efron was not only charming but a consummate performer. He sang, danced and joked along with the best of them. If this is just the beginning of the young lad’s career, then I cannot wait to see what’s ahead. Zac was lucky that he managed to be in one of the funnier episodes of SNL all season and that his introduction to a whole new audience was so successful. Here was one of the brighter spots of the night, a mocking of Disney’s “High School Musical” and it showed that Efron was not afraid to make fun of himself, which is a key characteristic for a future star.

Efron was joined by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who performed the newest single “Zero”, which will undoubtedly be one of my summer jams, and their hit “Maps”, which was a bit bizarre. All in all, the show was a success and as already stated, one of the funniest SNLs I have seen in a long time. Efron continued his media blitz in preparation for the release of “17 Again”, by sitting down with the ladies of “The View” earlier this morning. Zac was his standard charming self, easily describing his bizarre climb to stardom and his quest for longevity in the business. Efron also hit up The Today Show this morning and was called out by Kathie Lee for impersonating her son Cody, made famous by Kathie’s own rambling on talk shows. Efron’s ease in the talk show circuit will only aid his career going forward. So who is coming with me opening night to check out “17 Again”??
