Sad news hit the web today about Natasha Richardson. The Tony-award winning actress was critically injured on Monday as a result of a skiing accident in Montreal. Richardson transported from a Montreal hospital earlier this afternoon to an undisclosed hospital in New York City.

I have held off on discussing this earlier because there had been so many conflicting reports throughout the day. Last night,we heard that Natasha was rushed to the hospital after falling ill about an hour after the initial accident on the slopes. In fact,TimeOut New York reported this afternoon that she was clinically brain dead and that those close to her were informing the media anonymously that the outlook was beyond grim. TMZ and NY Post countered these claims,saying that doctors induced a coma on Richardson to cease the swelling of her brain following the skiing accident. Reports claim that actor Liam Neeson,Richardson’s husband and Vanessa Redgrave,Richard’s mother,as well as other family members have gathered at Lenox Hill Hospital here in New York to “stand vigil” for the talented actress. But sadly,the anonymous reports have continuously leaked throughout the evening that the outlook for Richardson is not looking good and that her family is at this moment saying their final goodbyes. Hopefully,the paparazzi pigs can leave them alone tonight in their grief.
