2009 – The Year of the Reunion

This year keeps getting better and better. Earlier this week it was announced that “Faith No More” will be reuniting for a European tour and now there is a hint that they will make a few appearances in the states. (YEAAA!!!!) Um I can safely assume that these dudes will be making an appearance at either the European or New York version of All Tomorrow’s Parties, but that is still unconfirmed. Remember when I said that all I needed on top of this was a “Blur” reunion, well buckle up because it technically happened at the NME Awards in London. What I mean by technically is that Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn reunited to play an acoustic version of “This is a Low” from their amazing album “Parklife”. Now for about a year now we have heard little things here and there about a possible reunion, but the blood was thought to be so bad between the two that this was not going to ever happen. Well apparently they had hung out in the studio a few times earlier this year,so they were fine with the one off performance. And you might remember from our coverage of the NME Awards 2008 last year that this was the first place the original lineup of Jane’s Addiction played together in almost twenty years,so hopefully that’s a good sign for us Blur fans. Um….hey guys, wanna come and make Sasquatch Festival even better? Speaking of,the lineup has just got even better with the announcement of the newly reunited “Murder City Devils” addition to the Sunday,May 24th lineup. Jane’s Addiction,Nine Inch Nails,TV on the Radio,The Dodos,St. Vincent and now MCM? My brain will explode that day,I am sure of it.
